Environment Artist intern F/M

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of most exciting game studios, using leading technology to create new genre-defining games, within our collaborative Action RPG team.

New Tales is currently looking for a highly motivated and talented Environment Artist intern (F/M) to join our adventure at NEW TALES.

 

WHAT IS THE JOB ABOUT?

As part of the environment team you will contribute to the game by doing props, vegetation, rocks or architectures in a colorful universe. You will help producing all types of 3D assets in a semi-realistic style to build the game's scenery while respecting the artistic and technical constraints of the project.

THAT IS GREAT BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR THE DAY TO DAY?

-       Create 3D props and other environmental assets, from concept, modelisation, texturing to integration:

·        Modeling with MAYA

·        Texturing & materials with Substance/Photoshop

·        Sculpt with Zbrush

·        Assets integration & Level Art into Unreal

-        Collaborate with the technical and artistic team to set up the production pipeline

-        Compose the sets in the engine in close collaboration with the level design

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • A book to support your artistic abilities in various styles as well as your technical knowledge.
  • Mastery of software associated with the production of new generation real-time 3D assets (Soft 3D type Maya / Blender, Substance painter / Photoshop etc.)
  • Modeling/texturing/sculpt/Integration in Engine
  • Student at the end of School (min Bachelor or equivalent)
  • Spoken and written English

 

WHAT ARE A PLUS?

  • Knowledge in Organics assets
  • Unreal: Level Art / Shader
  • Experience as a player and/or a previous role on an Action RPG
  • Experience with Unreal and/or Unity
  • French spoken
